About House Proud UK Landscaping & Property Maintenance

House Proud Uk has been in business now for almost 12 years in total.

My name is Dave Cunningham (The proprietor) formally a policeman. I started out in Business shortly after qualifying in Brickwork & the Built Environment at Rochdale’s ‘Hopwood Hall’ College in 1997, albeit I worked in this very same profession for other companies for 4 years leading up to my own companies launch date at the beginning of the Tax year, April 1997.

Starting out on my own I found was both exciting and challenging, & sometimes a little daunting, but I rose to the challenges ahead, and soon found a niche in the market for Professional landscaping & general Building work.

My belief was to offer the general public a little something different than what was already on offer by similar types of local businesses.

You see, House Proud Uk don’t just offer one type of service, & are not just interested in the juicy Large jobs, but we also carry out the smaller jobs that that people either cannot manage or are simply not in a position to carry out themselves for one reason or another.

A comprehensive business approach like this, in conjunction with my own personal approach to clients bodes well I feel.

I believed that by taking my time on each job, and doing each job properly, just as it should be, and ensuring the customer was entirely satisfied that the preparation work was carried out efficiently that the end product was a far more professional job on the whole.

I hasten to add that yes…..setting up House Proud UK was difficult in the early stages, with learning how to quote jobs both competitively but still accurately, and problem solving as each task was being carried out, as in certain circumstances I did find myself in unfamiliar territory carrying out jobs that I hadn’t been faced with before,(Filing my Tax return(Joke) but these problems were soon overcome.

My drive & ambition from that very first day in self employment has never wavered or faltered, & today House Proud Uk is still a thriving business & providing a very healthy competition in today’s market place.

House Proud Uk, carry out an array of tasks, not just Landscaping, but also all aspects of both interior & exterior Property maintenance, including Wall Tiling & Floor Tiling, Floor Screeding & Concreting, to name but a few.
